Solve common problems with Adobe CC

Starting in 2015, Adobe has been using new installers for its products.

Here are the most common errors that occur when using them:


Error 1
Reason: Creative Cloud application is corrupted. Remove it using the Creative Cloud Cleaner Tool . Read more about the utility here .

Errors 42, 146
Reason: antiviruses and other scanners block access to installation files. Disconnect security features during installation.

The file helper.exe was not found.
It was eaten by your antivirus. Hope choked.

D3DCompiler_47.dll was not found.
Download and place it in the program folder: 64-bit | 32-bit

Invalid path error
Reason: this is not a mistake; By default, Adobe does not allow changing the installation path.
In assemblies, this restriction has been removed: indicate where to install the program by clicking on the "Change" inscription.



Errors api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1-0.ddl, MSVCP140.dll and the like
Reason: Microsoft Visual C ++ Redistributable and / or Windows updates are missing. Read the  FAQ on the site .

The installation cannot continue as the installer file may be damaged. Download the installer file again.
Reason 1: the installer file is corrupt. You need to verify the checksums and pump the assembly, if they do not match.
Reason 2: An irrelevant list of root certificates. Download and run this file (thanks krav_en ).

Adobe Photoshop: An integer between 96 and 8 is required.

  • Open the registry editor (Win + R shortcut, enter regedit.exe, click OK).
  • Go to the branch HKEY_CURRENT_USER \ SOFTWARE \ Adobe \ Photoshop \ 120.0
  • Create a DWORD parameter (32 bits) with the name  OverridePhysicalMemoryMB  and a decimal value of 1024 times the number of gigabytes of RAM in the system. For example, 8192 for 8 GB, 16384 for 16 GB, 24576 for 24 GB, and so on.

  • The installer interface is too large or small
    Hold CTRL + right mouse button + rotate the wheel up / down

  • System requirements for Adobe Camera Raw

    The Adobe Camera Raw plug-in gives you ability to import and work with camera raw files in Photoshop. You can also use Camera Raw to work with JPEG and TIFF files.

  •  Solve scaling issues


    If all else fails, send logs from the folder to comments
    C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
    try to figure it out.
